Education Foundation of South Texas ISD Scholarship Application - 2023

The Education Foundation of South Texas ISD is providing $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors from all four STISD high schools.

This year the Foundation will award 32 scholarships total, 8 - $1,000 scholarships per each STISD high school campus.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in the twelfth (12th)-grade at one of the South Texas Independent School District (STISD) schools.
  • A relative of any scholarship selection committee member is not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • See information below on the policy of nondiscrimination provisions.
  • Applicants must submit proof of enrollment at an institution of higher learning before claiming our scholarship.

Additional Information:

  • The number of scholarships awarded annually shall be determined by the Education Foundation of STISD Board of Directors based upon available funding.
  • The scholarship selection committee shall take into consideration in the selection process your complete application, to include your submission of an Essay (40 points), Financial Need (20 points), Academics (20 points), Community Service/Out of School Responsibilities (10 points), and your Role Model/Leadership Roles (10 points).

Procedures to Apply:

  • Complete the electronic scholarship application form (available online through the blue button below), including a response to the essay, by the deadline of 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.
    • If you encounter issues while trying to submit an application via the online form, you may either submit the application in hard copy to your campus counseling office or via e-mail to Amanda.odom@stisd.net or Jaclyn Buelow at jaclyn.buelow@stisd.net.Your application must still be submitted by the deadline.
      • If preferred, click here to access a PDF of the application. A hard copy can also be requested from the student's campus counseling office. Applications must be submitted prior to 9:00 p.m. on April 19 no matter the method used.
