Board receives report on STAAR EOC Results

The STISD Board of Directors received a report on the 2022 STAAR EOC results during the June 21 board meeting.

The report looked at the Spring 2022 results for STISD middle and high school students who took EOC exams in the last spring administration. The results for grades 6-8 will be presented at the next board meeting, as they were not released with enough time prior to the board meeting.

Dr. Nereyda Trevino shared a comparison of the district with the state and region for all subjects tested, and the district outperformed the state and region in all subjects - Algebra, Biology, English I, English II, and U.S. History. She also presented comparisons of results for 2021 versus 2022 for each subject for All Students, Special Education, and Emergent Bilingual.

Dr. Trevino attributes the successful results seen this year to the hard work of teachers, students and administrators across the district, HB4545 supports, which included more intentional tutoring, and more differentiated instruction in professional development.

Click here to access the full report, which is available in the STAAR & EOC section of Accountability & Needs Assessment page on the district website.
