STISD held its 2023-2024 District Convocation on Monday, July 31, to officially welcome all faculty and staff for the new school year. Professional development has continued throughout the week, as everyone prepares to kick off the new year on Monday, Aug. 7.

STISD recognized the 2022-2023 service award recipients with 20 years or more with the district during the convocation and in-service on July 31.

STISD Launches New Student Information System - Skyward

This school year STISD is transitioning to a new student information system called Skyward.

All parents/guardians should have received an email from Skyward Qmlativ this week (e-mail address noreply@stisd.net) sharing their Family Access Account user name and the link to log in.

To log in for the first time, the parent/guardian will need to enter his/her username as included in the e-mail and follow the prompts to reset his/her password.

Career and Technical Education Annual Public Notification of Nondiscrimination

South Texas Independent School District offers Career and Technical Education programs in Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources; Arts, A/V Technology & Communications; Business, Marketing & Finance; Health Science; Hospitality & Tourism; Law & Public Service; Manufacturing; Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics; and Transportation, Distribution & Logistics. Admission to these programs is based on student interest, aptitude, age appropriateness and class space availability.

It is the policy of South Texas Independent School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
