South Texas ISD is approved to participate in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) during the 2026-2027 School Year, which will allow all STISD students to eat both breakfast and lunch for free.
Parents/guardians will still need to complete an Income Survey as part of their electronic registration packet in Skyward; however, all STISD students will qualify for free meals.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, STISD will expand its meal services with the launch of a free Supper Program for children age 18 and younger, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21.
Through the program, STISD hopes to provide students and families with greater access to nutritious meals while supporting children who remain on campus after the school day for tutorials, extracurricular activities and other programs.
Supper will be served Monday through Thursday from 4:00–4:30 p.m. in the cafeterias of all six in-person STISD campuses. Meals are available at no cost and are dine-in only. Children do not need to be enrolled at STISD to participate.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, South Texas Independent School District (STISD) will expand its meal services with the launch of a free Supper Program for children age 18 and younger, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21.
There’s more to school lunch than what meets the tray and many of our STISD students’ lunch favorites are made from scratch by the people behind the scenes in our Nutrition Department.
With the new school year just around the corner, STISD is preparing to welcome students back to campus with nutritious meals and options.
The STISD Nutrition Department has released its August breakfast and lunch menus, giving students and families an opportunity to plan ahead for the first weeks of school.
In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.
Program information may be made available in languages other than English. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication to obtain program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language), should contact the responsible state or local agency that administers the program or USDA’s TARGET Center at 202-720-2600 (voice and TTY) or contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339.
To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online by clicking here, from any USDA office, by calling 866-632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
