Biblioteca Las Americas serves students, parents, faculty and staff from Health Professions and Science Academy and is located in Mercedes. 

Library hours: 
Monday  through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Facility

Capacity: Currently serves 1,500 high school students.

Facilities: 128-seat lecture hall; e-training lab; video editing room; two small conference rooms; fully accessible for use by people with disabilities.

Library Collection: 

Books: Print volume, ebooks and audiobooks; health and science specialization.

Periodicals: Print titles covering health, science and technology, as well as leisure reading. Magazines and newspapers are available through the library's subscription databases.

DVDs/CDs: Available for check  out to students and staff.

Art: Framed prints are available for circulation.

Computers: Windows network for student use; take-home laptops available for overnight check out; printers; video editing and presentation equipment. Office 365; Inventor; and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite are available on PCs.

Online Resources: Library catalog, ebooks, Office 365, and internet access to subscription databases.
