Special Programs
Welcome to the Special Programs Department, where our mission is to support and enrich the diverse needs of every student. We oversee an array of services designed to cater to various educational and emotional needs, including special education, gifted and talented initiatives, the STISD Half-Day Programs, the South Texas Special Education Cooperative and crucial mental health support.
Our team consists of highly trained professionals— Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSPs), Educational Diagnosticians, Speech Language Pathologists, Bilingual Instructional Coaches, School Psychologists and Occupational Therapists - each dedicated to providing individualized attention and support.
By addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges, we strive to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is empowered to achieve their fullest potential and succeed in all aspects of their educational journey.
