Next week, STISD will hold the first of three sessions in its South Texas ISD Dyslexia Series.
This series will include one in-person meeting and two virtual sessions, all focused on Supporting Student Success.
The following is the schedule of events, along with the topics to be covered:
- November 3, 2023 (Virtual, 12-1 pm): The Executive Functions-Helping Our Kids with Working Memory
- November 9, 2023 (In-person): Addressing The Social Emotional Challenges Of Learning and Attention Disorders | Time: 5:30-6:30 pm | Location: STISD Teaching and Learning Center, 7001 E. Expressway 83, Mercedes, TX 78570
- November 16, 2023 (Virtual, 12-1 pm): Reading and Understanding Psychological Test Reports
All sessions will be presented by Dr. Cheryl Chase, a licensed clinical psychologist out of Ohio, who specializes in the diagnostic and neuropsychological assessment of various conditions impacting children, adolescents, and young adults, including ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Learning Disorders, and emotional concerns.

La próxima semana, STISD va a ofrecer la primera de tres talleres en la Serie de Dislexia de STISD.
La serie de talleres incluyen una sesión en persona y dos sesiones virtuales enfocadas en el apoyar estudiantes para ser exitosos.
