Students at World Scholars launch new YouTube series: Lion Talks

New this year at South Texas ISD World Scholars in Edinburg is: Lion Talks- a broadcasting station created for the students, the campus community and prospects.

This student-run station is committed to bringing its audience the latest news, covering hot topics specific to programs and opportunities offered to students at World Scholars, and also learning from outside guests and professionals in various industries from throughout the world by inviting them on the show.

Through this program, students learn and are responsible for: camerawork, directing, producing, script writing, social media marketing, graphic illustration, sound, livestreaming and more.

LionTalks has already featured:

Johnny O’Neil, video editor at Netflix;
Dr. Jose Taha-Tijerina from the engineering department at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV); and
Dr. Rey Ramos, Associate Vice-President for Student Affairs from UTRGV.

Lion Talks is streamed live every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. on the campus YouTube. Search STISD World Scholars for the latest episodes.
