Shresth Yadav, an eighth-grader from STISD Preparatory Academy in Edinburg, was named among the Top 300 in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge.
Out of 1,890 entrants, Shresth has earned a spot in this elite group and is now aiming to advance to the next stage as one of 30 finalists later this month, with hopes of reaching Finals Week in October.
The Top 300 Junior Innovators each receive $125 courtesy of DoD STEM, a one-year subscription to Science News Explores magazine, a one-year subscription to Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition courtesy of Wolfram Research, a Thermo Fisher JIC laptop sticker, drawstring backpack, a certificate of recognition and a Top 300 ribbon.
