Rising Scholars Academy earns back-to-back Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League Middle School Texas Cup

The STISD Rising Scholars Academy (RSA) community came together to celebrate its RSA Rockets and Lady Rockets  — back-to-back champions of the Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League (TCSAAL) Texas Cup in the Middle School Premier Schools division — for a trophy presentation. 

Each year, TCSAAL awards the Texas Cup to the top-performing Varsity and Middle School Premier campuses based on their cumulative performance in athletics, arts, and academic competitions. Schools earn points throughout the school year, with rankings determined by performance across the majority of activities offered in the Grades 6–8 Premier and Varsity divisions.

TCSAAL announced RSA as the 2024–2025 Texas Cup winner in late summer, marking the second consecutive year the school has earned the title. 

In the 2024-2025 season, RSA students participated in the following competitive sports through TCSAAL: 

• Flag Football 
• Girls Volleyball 
• Boys Basketball 
• Girls Basketball
• Boys & Girls Cross Country 
• Boys Soccer
• Girls Soccer
• Boys Golf
• Girls Golf
• Boys Tennis
• Girls Tennis 

In this 2025-2026 season, RSA students will also participate in TCSAAL Softball and Baseball.
