Preparatory Academy named Texas School to Watch

Preparatory Academy earns National distinction by being re-designated a School to Watch

May 4 2021

The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as part of a national recognition program have re-designated South Texas ISD Preparatory Academy (Preparatory Academy) in Edinburg and South Texas ISD as a Texas School to Watch.

Preparatory Academy joins approximately 50 other campuses across Texas with this distinction and honor.

State leaders selected Preparatory Academy for its Academic Excellence, Developmental Responsiveness, Social Equity and Organizational Structure and Processes. In addition, Preparatory Academy has strong leadership, teachers who work together to improve curriculum and instruction, and a commitment to assessment and accountability to bring about continuous improvement.

The district and campus celebrated this great honor with an assembly, highlighting and recognizing all who made this possible.
