Update on Thursday, Jan. 22 --- High School Selection is extended through 9 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
The STISD High School Selection process for current STISD 8th-graders and the In-District Transfer process for current STISD 6th-,7th- and 9th-graders wanting to transfer to another campus within STISD for the 2026-2027 school year are now open via Skyward Family Access and will remain open through Thursday, Jan. 22.
Parents of current 6th-, 7th-, and 9th-graders - Please note: If your child plans to continue attending his/her current STISD campus next year, please do not complete the In-District Transfer Request Form. This form only needs to be completed by those requesting a move to another school.
To complete the forms, log in to your Skyward Family Access here or access it through the Skyward App.
The following are the steps to take within the Skyward Family Access to complete the selection/transfer processes:
- Parent/Guardian must log in to Skyward Family Access. The forms cannot be accessed through the student’s Skyward.
- Look for a new tile on your dashboard that reads “2026-2027 STISD High School Selection 8th Grade,” “2026-2027 STISD Transfer School Request 6/7 Grade,” or “2026-2027 STISD Transfer School Request 9th Grade.”
- If you have multiple children within STISD who are eligible for high school selection and/or in-district transfers, you will see multiple tiles. The appropriate tiles will be on the dashboard in the profile for each child. The tiles will be highlighted in green before you click into them, and can be found after all of your other tiles on the dashboard.
- Click on the tile to access the form, which will be assigned to your child.
- Complete and submit the form. Once submitted, the tile will disappear from your dashboard.
Within the form, you may select your preferred STISD high school or choose “Other” if your child will not be returning to STISD next school year. Please note that completing this process by the deadline is essential to secure a seat at your preferred campus.
If you and your child are still exploring options, we invite you to attend one or more of our upcoming High School Open Houses. These events are a great opportunity to visit campuses, meet staff, and learn more about academic programs, extracurricular activities, and student life.
All Open Houses will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

- Thursday, January 22 | Virtual Academy | Biblioteca Las Américas, 300 Med High Dr., Mercedes (Virtual session also available)
We encourage you to attend as many Open Houses as you wish to find the best fit for your child.
