Students in the 7th-grade English classes taught by Robin Cramer in the year 2000 buried a time capsule as part of a class project that year. At the time of the burial, they agreed to dig it up on Feb. 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.

Families in tow, the alumni congregated at the planned time at the site of the time capsule and reminisced about their time at the Teacher Academy. They flipped through yearbooks, chatting about former faculty members and other alumni and where they are now, and walked around the campus, pointing out areas of the campus that were meaningful to them and parts that were not yet in existence at the time.

The time capsule included a CD of music from the year 2000, newspaper articles, a large flip phone, and other historic treasures from the beginning of the millenium.

Representatives from the current Preparatory Academy faculty and 7th-grade student body also attended the event. They put together another time capsule to be buried and resurfaced on April 4, 2040.
