Libraries

STISD libraries house 70,000 books, 5,000 videos and 50 web databases. In addition, they hold hundreds of computers equipped with Internet access and Microsoft Office, including laptops that can be checked out overnight. The libraries also carry the latest multi-media equipment.

Mission
STISD Librarians:

  • Seek to collaborate with students, colleagues and the surrounding community to achieve their educational dreams and personal goals by providing easy access to the vast world of information in all of its forms;
  • Strive to provide inspiring, quality resources that parallel the requirements of each school’s curriculum;
  • Aspire to create independent learners by providing hands-on instruction, followed by readily available assistance; and
  • Endeavor to provide a haven for peaceful study, reading and relaxation.
