STISD Now Accepting Applications for Free and Reduced-Price Meals

South Texas Independent School District (STISD) is now accepting applications for free and reduced-price meals for the 2016-17 school year.

The 2016-17 Student Lunch Application is available at every school office and on the STISD website at http://www.stisd.net/departments/nutrition. To have an application mailed, call the campus or Child Nutrition Office at (956) 514-4236.

For a family of four, the annual household income cannot exceed $31,590 for free lunch and $44,955 for reduced lunch. The complete income eligibility guidelines are linked up to from the Nutrition section of the STISD website.

STISD is comprised of six schools: Rising Scholars Academy of South Texas (Rising Scholars Academy) in San Benito, South Texas Academy for Medical Professions (Medical Academy) in Olmito, South Texas Business, Education & Technology Academy (BETA) in Edinburg, South Texas High School for Health Professions (Med High) in Mercedes, South Texas Preparatory Academy (STPA) in Edinburg and The Science Academy of South Texas (Sci Tech) in Mercedes.
