South Texas Business, Education
& Technology Academy (BETA) opened in August 2003. It was formerly The
Teacher Academy of South Texas, which opened
in 1993. The school focuses on the career
fields of business, education and technology.
Juniors and seniors in the business program
gain internship experience at local companies.
Upperclassmen in the education program gain
experience in the classrooms of local public
schools. Seniors in the technology program
research a real-world technology problem
and develop a solution.
