Attendance - Monthly Student Attendance Reports

The South Texas Independent School District (STISD) Educational Improvement Council (EIC) is made up of campus-based professional staff, district-level professional staff, students, parents, community members and local business leaders from across the Valley.

The purpose of the EIC is to advise the STISD Board of Directors in establishing and reviewing district educational goals, objectives and major District-wide classroom instructional programs.

The duties of the council include:

· Evaluating District instructional programs.

· Making recommendations on proposed changes to campus curricular offerings.

· Advising the Superintendent of the effectiveness of pilot instructional projects.

The council will meet once a month throughout the school year at the Biblioteca Las Américas in Mercedes. The schedule of meeting dates for the 2017-2018 school year as decided at the September 18, 2017 EIC meeting.
